Privacy and cookies

Spanish Restaurants in Europe is a free directory of Spanish restaurants, tapas bars and shops across Europe. This page explains what data is handled when you use it, in plain language.

What we collect

The site has no accounts, contact forms or newsletter. We use GoatCounter for lightweight, cookie-free analytics. It records aggregate page views, countries and referring sites, plus fixed event categories for shared-list opens and outbound clicks to maps, restaurant/menu/shop pages and Viator. We do not send query strings, shared-list contents, link text or destination URLs to GoatCounter, and we do not use analytics to identify individual visitors. See GoatCounter privacy.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and at aboutads.info/choices. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message before personalised ads are shown. Google's use of data is described in Google's partner-sites policy.

Affiliate links

Some links, marked as affiliate links (for example to Viator tours and experiences), earn us a commission if you book through them. The price you pay does not change. Affiliate partners may use their own cookies to attribute the booking; their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

Comments

Restaurant comments run on Giscus over GitHub Discussions. To comment you sign in with your GitHub account, and your comment is stored publicly on GitHub. The GitHub Privacy Statement applies to that data.

Restaurant data

Ratings, review counts, addresses and opening information come from public sources such as Google Maps and each restaurant's own website or menu, with a source link kept next to each record.
